I think this might be one of my favorite Oscar pieces that have ever landed in the shop. It is just spectacular and has such a romantic, pretty air about it that it literally makes me happy just to look at it on the hanger, never mind how fabulous it is once on. It is constructed of a beautiful blue floral print silk chiffon that flows and moved beautifully. The design that runs over the entire dress has two flowers - tiny blue ones that form the backdrop and then larger paler blue blooms that are scattered over the surface. It is almost weightless despite the yards and yards of fabric and the skirt especially is cut so that it has lots of movement and flounce. It goes right to the floor and cut with ruffled tiers that give its its fullness and floating feel. Under the top layer is a second ruffled bottomed silk organza layer that gives it the shape you see and then a silk layer under that ending at the knee that acts as the innermost lining. The top is actually a partially separate piece that sits over an inner slip top and is attached at the top of the shoulders. This floats over the inner dress and has a ruffled hip and ruffled cuffs. The waist is cinched with a long fabric sash in a matching fabric. It is just perfect and so very, very lovely. Excellent condition

The top of the inner dress is made of a silk organza and this runs inside the skirt to the knee. There is another layer of silk organza between that and the outer layer of the skirt. The exterior top sits over the slip top inside and it is attached at the shoulders. You could completely separate them if you wished without effecting the integrity of the design. The inner dress closes with a side painted metal zipper. The top that sits over that closes with snaps running down the back and the waist and cuffs of the top have elastic. Hand finishes.
